Sayeed K. Malek, MBBS, is a board-certified transplant surgeon affiliated with Boston Medical Center (BMC) and the clinical director of transplant surgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He is also an assistant professor of surgery at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Malek has served on a number of advisory committees, including the American Society of Transplant Surgeons, and on the editorial board for a number of publications, including Transplant International and the American Journal of Transplantation. His clinical and research interests include pancreas transplantation, islet auto transplantation, living donor kidney transplantation, and stem cell transplant for diabetes.
