BMC’s Yawkey building doors are now closed as an entrance as part of our ongoing efforts to enhance our campus and provide you with the best clinical care.

All patients and visitors on our main campus must enter our hospital via Shapiro, Menino, or Moakley buildings, where they will be greeted by team members at a new centralized check-in desk before continuing to the hospital. We are excited to welcome you and appreciate your patience as we improve our facilities.

The BMC Breastfeeding Equity Center manages multiple training opportunities and is working to expand these educational offerings both within BMC/Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine and in our wider community. Our goal is to help health professionals provide evidence-based care to lactating patients, and to support people from all backgrounds in becoming trained in lactation support. We currently manage a medical student breastfeeding elective and have OB and FM residents attend clinic sessions. We also provide didactic and simulation center training for BMC residents. If you are a resident, student, or other trainee in any field at BMC/BU, do not hesitate to reach out to us to discuss learning opportunities.

Our goal is that with expanded clinical lactation services we can host more learners, particularly community members/staff from under-represented groups similar to our patient population.
